We enjoyed a great tour of the rainscapes at the Tarrant Regional Water District in Ft. Worth! Although it’s a biased opinion, the #wetlands were the best part. Although many plants were still dormant #blueflagiris, #arrowhead and #bushybluestem could be easily found along with other favorites! The tour was a great experience and we highly recommend checking it out!

We’ll need some extra care and protection on any trees we install at this property! The beavers here have been getting to work and taking down some large willow trees. While beavers present a problem, they aren’t the end to a planting project. Corrugated pipe and galvanized fencing, when installed correctly, can protect new tree plantings. With that, we’ll be able to plant #baldcypress trees, #watertupelo and even #buttonbush to increase the properties ability to support wildlife’s.

Spring will be here before you know it! These warmer days (up to 70F) in North Texas have us excited for the season. Now’s the time to research and plan your planting project. Consulting is just another part of how we help our clients with their surface water needs! Onsite consultation provides the best view of what species and quantities best fit the goals of the pond, lake or wetland.

We finally started to thaw out over the weekend but this eel grass (Vallisneria americana) stayed green under the ice! It’s one of our favorite native aquatic plants to work with because of the great habitat it provides! It often requires some protection via caging/fencing to protect it from herbivores. Once it is established and builds a seed bank though, it takes care of itself! - - - #buildinganecosystem #buildanecosystem #freshwateraquaticplant #lakeplants #lakeplantsforsale #pondplants #pondplantsforsale #plants #aquaticnursery #aquaticplant #stoneflyaquatic #stoneflyaquaticnursery #stonefly #nativeplants #nativeaquaticplants

From our small onsite pond, this arrowhead was looking great in the spring and summer. We're excited for spring and ready to have this bloom again, after these cold winter temps! - - - #buildinganecosystem #buildanecosystem #freshwateraquaticplant #lakeplants #lakeplantsforsale #pondplants #pondplantsforsale #plants #aquaticnursery #aquaticplant #stoneflyaquatic #stoneflyaquaticnursery #stonefly #nativeplants #nativeaquaticplants
